About Patrick

The food service industry is a catalyst for food waste. Outdated stocktaking methods have led to shocking amounts of unnecessary waste, painful financial losses, and staffing issues.

Patrick McDermott, CEO of Digitally, worked in the hospitality and stocktaking industry for over 25 years and became increasingly exasperated by what he saw.

Inspired to create change, he poured all his time, resources, and expertise into creating a radically simple digital stocktaking solution that streamlines the inventory process, and also manages and reduces food waste, which in turn helps food service businesses increase their profit margins and, more importantly, reduce their carbon footprint – leading to a healthier planet.

Today, DigiTally is used in 250+ sites, with customers ranging from deli groups like Spar, to leading Food Service companies including Compass and WSH.
